What are people saying about Treharrock Farm Cottages?

Hi Emerald,

Treharrock Cottage is a welcoming, cosy and convenient base from which to explore the North Cornwall coast. We had a great time and can recommend it without hesitation.

Regards

Tim and Pauline

Dear Emerald,

This is just to say how very much we enjoyed our holiday at Dovecote Cottage.

The cottage is beautifully clean, attractively and comfortably furnished and incredibly well equipped, and your welcome was so warm and friendly - we felt very at home there and had a wonderful week.

The surroundings are so peaceful, with a beautiful garden and patio - it's a real home from home. We were also lucky to have sunshine virtually all week, which definitely helps a holiday go with a swing!

The location is great too, near to everywhere we wanted to visit. We particularly liked Port Isaac, which is so pretty. I will definitely be recommending Dovecote as a perfect getaway! Thanks again.

Hope to see you again one day!

Very best wishes

Rosemary and David Hunter

Dear Emerald,

Firstly we are so sorry but we could not find a pen to say thank-you for our stay in your lovely visitor book!

But we did not want to leave without letting you know how truly grateful we are for our wonderful last minute stay at Dovecote Cottage!

It is in such a beautiful setting and immaculate throughout - we couldn't of asked for more!

We will definately be recommending you to all our friends and family and hope very much to come and stay will you again soon.

Thanks Again and Best Wishes

Hi Emerald,

Just got home after having the perfect week staying at Treharrock Farm cottage.

The cottage was spotlessly clean and so comfortable. It is the perfect base to visit Cornwall's many attractions and is so close to some of the beautiful beaches and secluded bays.

Four of us stayed and the showers situated upstairs and downstairs saved any queuing for the bathroom.

The Wi-Fi came in very handy too.

It was our first visit...hopefully it won't be our last...thank you for helping to make this a really great holiday.

Kind Regards, Barry, Jan, Bob and Val

We are just back from our 9th stay at Treharrock Farm Cottages and just as delighted as the first time. The cottage is always clean and tidy and has everything we need for a great holiday. Emerald is always keen to ensure we enjoy our stay.

The cottage is a great base for our days out, ideally situated with visits to Boscastle in the North to Lands End in the South easily achievable. There is plenty to see and do in this area of Cornwall.

This was the year for discovering Farm Shops with plenty to choose from. We would definately recommend Boscastle Farm Shop and Restaurant for a relaxing lunch and fantastic 95% pork sausages produced on site. Already looking forward to our next stay.

I have stayed at Treharrock Farm Cottages for many years – both cottages are delightful.

Dovecote is my favourite as it is in the middle of the ‘action’ – it is wonderful to open the curtains each morning and see the cows wander up to the fields after milking. Dovecote is the smallest with a double and single bedrooms but it has plenty of room, is very well equipped and spotlessly clean.

Emerald does her best to ensure that the stay on the farm is enjoyable – the flowers, chocolates as well as the biscuits, tea bags/coffee and milk in the fridge on arrival are testament to that – mmm a lovely a cup of tea - just what’s needed after a long journey.

The farm is in an ideal position to tour Cornwall – Port Isaac is just around the corner and Rock is about 20 minutes away by car – great beach for walking dogs - to Daymer Bay and beyond or taking the ferry across the Camel to Padstow for lunch. Wadebridge is excellent for hiring a kayak or canoe and paddling down the Camel or hiring a bike and cycling to Bodmin or Padstow.

Further afield the Minack Theatre, Porthcurno is about an hour away and during the summer puts on wonderful stage productions that have to compete with the weather as well as the spectacle of a pod of dolphins swimming in the bay.

Eleven very happy days were spent by us at 'Dovecote', a delightful cottage on Treharrock working farm, in the heart of the beautiful Cornish landscape.

We found it to be a comfortable and convenient base from which to explore the enchanting fishing villages and towns which makes Cornwall such a magnet for holiday makers from all parts of the country.

We having been holiday at the farm for the past 15 years and look forward to returning every Easter.

We have gained two children and a dog since we have been coming (the dog is Treharrock farm bred!).

We look forward to our holiday immensely every year and every year we are pleasantly surprised by an upgrade.

See you soon.

Beautiful cottage, everything just perfect like the last time we stayed.

Thank you so much for all the lovely touches. Will be back very soon!

This year we booked a much needed late September break to Cornwall and what better place could there be to stay than Treharrock Farm Cottages run by Emerald and Raymond Quinn.

Our annual pilgrimage to this part of the world always leads us back to Dovecote Cottage set in the midst of a working dairy farm. It may not be to everybody’s liking ,watching the cows passing by up the adjoining lane each morning, but for us it’s the perfect get away from it all setting… Bliss.

Dovecote Cottage will provide for your every need we treat it just like our second home, you won’t need to bring any of those silly little extras, your every need is catered for. We love our early evening classical extravaganzas, plenty of volume, washed down with copious glasses of chilled wine, the cows love it… the music that is, you often hear them singing along to the moooooosic!

Dovecote Cottage provides a high standard of accommodation and there’s plenty of room for two people to rattle around in, plenty even for three but the spare room doubles up as our extra dressing room!

In addition to all this we find that Treharrock Farm is an ideally situated location giving easy access to all areas of Cornwall, beautiful beaches, fantastic coastal and country walks and places of interest something for everyone to enjoy.

If all this sounds too good to be true well I’ve saved the best till last, just wait until you meet the lovely Emerald Quinn. She’s not only the owner who runs these charming cottages but someone who cares passionately about her cottages and the enjoyment of your holiday.

Thank you Emerald for all your efforts can't wait to see you and the cows again next year.

Kindest regards.
